Our role as Lead Providers for CAMHS Tier 4 services bring together the providers of CAMHS and Adult Eating Disorder services across the East Midlands to work together in a new partnership, to reduce delays, gaps in service and improve outcomes for the service users, their families and carers. Our Commissioning Team will lead and facilitate the quality oversight, case management, contracting, finance, business intelligence and organisational development to deliver new ways of working

This position of Quality Manager & Family Ambassador will be supporting the Quality & Governance Lead with a focus on coproduction, patient experience and as family ambassador. This role will be part of a wider team within the commissioning team who provide clinical assurance of the quality of the care provided for patients and they will look to manage individual patient pathways to ensure high quality services and care planning outcomes are achieved

Provider Collaboratives delivering New Care Models are the vehicle for change in specialised mental health services, giving clinicians and managers in provider organisations the levers and financial incentives to enable service transformation for Children, Young People and their families. New Care Models will continue until at least (end date of contract).

Main duties of the job

This position is for a 12 month fixed term contract or secondment. Please ensure if you are applying for a secondment you do have the support of your organisation.

Home working due to Covid19 is applicable to this post, however, this is subject to review post Covid19 and we welcome applicants from any location as the base will be subject to where the successful candidate lives.

Base is TBC but within the East Midlands.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential


  • Educated to Post-graduate degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
  • Further training or significant experience in project management, financial management or supporting change management processes.
  • Has diploma level or equivalent qualifications in advocacy/counselling or a relatable subject which would support delivery of the role. 3
  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.
  • Demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments.
  • Has significant experience of working at a similar level in a specialist area of health and/or social care and/or education to support parents, carers or family members.

Desirable


  • Has empathy and values lived experience of team members whose family member has been in inpatient mental health or learning disability services or who has required support and treatment across the Health and/or Social Care and/or Education system.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the legal frameworks which will impact on the delivery of good quality care, including mental health legislation, human rights, health and social care act and equalities act.
  • oDemonstrable specialist knowledge of the mental health, learning disability and autism pathways through lived experience.

Essential


  • Clear communicator with excellent written and presentation skills capable of constructing and delivering clear ideas and concepts concisely and accurately to a diverse and varied range of audiences consisting of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prepare and produce concise yet insightful communications for dissemination to senior stakeholders and a broad range of stakeholders as required, including but not limited to: parent/carer groups, campaigning organisations and public bodies with the support of senior regional colleagues.
  • Ability to analyse very complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources

Desirable
