We are currently looking for a Head of Electrical at our Dunbar Cement Plant, which is located close to Edinburgh.Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and its important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.
As the successful Head of Electrical you will report to the Assistant Engineering Manager and will be part of our multi-functional maintenance team, playing an integral part in the management maintenance team at DunbarCement Plant.
On a day to day basis, duties and responsibilities of the Head of Electrical will include (not exhaustive):

Delivering improvements projects to plant; formulating financial plans and executing work
Highlighting long term plant risks to senior management, assisting with repair plans
Ensuring sustainable performance aligned to plant objectives, values and behaviours
Monitoring execution of electrical tasks through spot checks, following up with feedback
Identifying skills gaps within the electrical team, building plans for development including 1-2-1s and PDPs, supporting longer term retention and succession planning
Ensuring Electrical Statutory inspections are carried out in line with legislation, and follow on work created from these inspections has been completed
Conducting weekly safety briefings, whilst actively participating in near hit reporting & safety online actions
The ideal Head of Electrical will be able to demonstrate senior management engineering experience gained within heavy industry.NEBOSH or IOSH preferable

~ Management/supervisory experience of an electrical team
