International Pharmacovigilance Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled International Pharmacovigilance (IPV) Specialist to join our Global Safety & Pharmacovigilance (GSPV) team. The role is integral to supporting our IPV team and Safety Officer network in routine regional and operational activities. You will also play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies and projects to enhance the cohesiveness of the IPV function and Safety Officer network in all PV activities. Additionally, you will facilitate communication and coordination between IPV and Safety Officers.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Support IPV function with two-way communication with the Safety Officer network and GSPV functions, ensuring timely responses to queries, organization of meetings, production of written communication, etc.
  • Coordinate routine tasks such as onboarding and offboarding activities for Safety Officers, PSMF updates, reconciliation, etc.
  • Maintain the appropriate documentation necessary for IPV activities, such as Safety Officer contact details, nomination documents, procedural documents if applicable, etc.
  • Participate and contribute to projects aimed at developing and implementing local and global PV processes which are both compliant with legislation and integrated into our PV system.
  • Support directly IPV Heads and Territory Managers with all other IPV-related activities as necessary.

Job Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma (e.g., in the biological, nursing, healthcare or pharmaceutical sciences, quality or economics) or equivalent

Experience:

  • 3+ years experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, preferably within pharmacovigilance.

Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build trust on all organizational levels and across functions
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player, working in a cross-functional and global environment
  • Ability to coordinate tasks and projects in a complex and multi-stakeholder environment
