Management Accountant

Reporting to: London Financial Controller

Roles & Responsibilities

Management Accounts
Monthly Management Reporting - Produce monthly London management accounts and analysis for month end financial health check board pack to deadlines and accounting policies.
Budgeting & Forecasting - Proactive work with department heads on operating cost budgeting, forecasting and monthly variance analysis.
Prepayments & Accruals - Oversee Accounts Assistant's prepayments schedule and processing. Reconcile and work with Accounts Assistant to identify and process month end accruals aligned forecast & actuals.
Balance Sheet Reconciliation - Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations & review monthly balance sheet reconciliations prepared by Accounts Assistant including management of fixed asset register.
Supplier Maintenance Approval - Ensuring New Suppliers are approved in finance system and bank details are verified ensuring segregation of duties.
Intercompany - Responsible for timely processing of monthly intercompany invoicing for recharges / cost splits.
Cashflow Forecasting - To ensure effective cash management, maintaining weekly cashflow forecast and responsible for consolidating AR data provided by Finance Business Partners.
VAT - Calculation quarterly VAT submission for review with FC / FD, submission to Government Gateway and payment processing to deadlines.
External Audit - Lead operating cost audit requests and prepare year end audit information for external auditors.
Process & control improvement - Continuous improvement in systems, processes and reporting. Responsible for the control environment

Payroll
Payroll Processing - Lead monthly payroll processing to the external payroll provider, working with the HR Business Partner and HR co-ordinator to ensure all payroll adjustments are accurately processed in a timely manner and escalating any anomalies.
Pension - Ensure timely submission, payment & reconciliation of the monthly pension contribution.
Payroll Taxes - Calculation and submission of Payroll taxes to statutory deadlines (PSA , P11D's),

Requirements
• 2+ years' experience working in a management accounting role in a similar industry (creative or media agency highly desirable).
• Experience and strong understanding of revenue recognition.
• Ability to present and discuss financial information with non-financial members of staff.
• The ideal candidate should be part or fully qualified in either ACCA or CIMA.
• Strong MS Excel skills; pivot tables, lookups, managing data sets etc.
• Promotes collaboration and financial acumen internally.
• Displays integrity, honest, reliability, responsiveness and openness to be trusted by clients, internal teams and suppliers. #J-18808-Ljbffr
