Our newly formed TPRM and ops resilience team has been created to meet the increasing regulatory focus on these topics. This role is expected to bring together and ensure consistency and alignment across all three individual elements namely: business continuity, operational resilience and Third Party Risk management (TPRM) as they are all inter connected and have dependencies in the context of wider risk management.


The roles main purpose is to act as the subject matter expert, hold first line responsibility and accountability, provide guidance and set the strategic direction and tooling on all three topics to ensure Canada Life has a robust and appropriate process, documentation and plans in place in order to manage these risk topics and the operational impacts of them (such as managing incident management process etc).



Providing expertise, leadership and support on operational resilience across the organisation ensuring compliance to all regulatory requirements and ensuring IBS documentation is accurate and is fit for purpose
Design and implement Canada Life's operational resilience training and awareness activities
Design and Implement Canda life third party risk management process and systems working with 2nd and third line on the design and implementation
Set TPRM local policy and implement appropriate assurance programme and controls
Provide both supplier and user support and training for TPRM
Good experience in facilitating meetings and workshops at operational and senior management level
Strong knowledge in the production of formal policy/procedural type documentation
A sound understanding of business operating models within a financial services/insurance company
Extensive background in supplier risk management, outsourcing governance and third party risk management systems and process
Experience of planning BC rehearsals and testing activities
Advanced user of MS Word / Excel / Powerpoint / Visio
