What Are We Looking For? Our Asset Management & Technical Services team is looking for a Civil Ganger to join the team in Basingstoke, servicing projects across Thames Water. We are looking for multi skilled individuals competent in key activities such as water mains, drainage, basic shuttering, concreting, plant operation, earthworks and landscaping tasks. Some of Your Key Duties Include: Safe use of hand tools, machinery, plant and other equipment Maintain accurate daily records for activities on site and man hours worked Ensure all plant & equipment is checked at the start and end of each occasion of use Ensure that all certification you are required to hold to operate any piece of machinery/equipment is valid, in date and renewed when necessary Ensure that any defects are highlighted, addressed, and actioned immediately to eliminate any risk of accident/injury/mechanical breakdown Carry out all other tasks as requested within the post holder’s appropriate skill set and assist other disciplines when required What Do You Need? Previous experience in civil engineering projects and certified in the use of required site plant/machinery Knowledge of site safety practices, including an understanding of Confined Spaces Ability to utilise independent judgment in the performance of duties The ability to work as part of a team SMSTS/SSSTS Full UK Driving Licence CSCS card CPCS or NPORS cards EUSR/Water Hygiene would be preferred Who Are We?
