Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. Our team members are the driving force behind Universal Creative. The primary function of the Senior Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Manager aka Senior BIM Manager is to oversee the integration of virtual design and construction technologies to optimise project delivery and foster collaboration across all stakeholders, ensuring the successful efficient execution of projects through their lifecycle. The Senior Manager, serves as strategic leader for the project team, ensuring that VDC processes are continuously utilised to meet Universal standards and expectations. The Senior VDC Manager acts as the liaison between the project team, design, construction, and other stakeholders, while also ensuring effective coordination, collaboration, and delivery of a high-quality, on-time, and on-budget project.
Project Development: Lead and oversee the implementation of VDC processes and standards. This includes managing access to the VDC database to ensure that all design and construction activities align with project goals and objectives
Serve as the lead point of contact regarding Universal Creative’s VDC standards and processes for the project team, ensuring that the project outcomes reflect the vision, goals, and requirements of Universal Creative
Collaboration & Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate and optimise VDC tools into project workflows, facilitate coordination, and resolve conflicts early in the design and construction phases
Training & Support: Spearhead training initiatives for project teams and stakeholders on VDC tools and technologies, ensuring successful adoption and application throughout the project lifecycle
Risk Mitigation and Reporting: Proactively identify and report risks related to design and construction phases, leveraging VDC tools such as clash detection to analyse potential issues and partner with project teams to develop and implement mitigation strategies
Quality Control: Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organisation’s policies and applicable laws.

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, or any construction-related field required.
Master’s degree in architecture or related field is preferred.
VDC Professional, BIM Manager Certification), BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) or construction management is highly preferred.
Proficient in the use of Autodesk’s Revit and Autodesk Navisworks.
Solid understanding of Autodesk Construction Cloud as a collaborative tool for project coordination and management.
Significant experience in Building Information Management (BIM), Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) or related field required. Experience in a BIM/VDC leadership or managerial role.
Proven expertise in managing VDC processes, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), 3D modeling, clash detection, across a range of project types (e.g., commercial, theme park, industrial, infrastructure).
Experience in themed entertainment projects is required.
