Trustee Treasurer

Every year local young people find themselves struggling to find the right support, options and opportunities they need to fully realise their potential. This could be a safe place to call home or a trusted adult role model who is committed to their success. As a thriving and growing charity this is where YMCA MK come in.

An exciting opportunity has arisen and we are excited to be seeking a new Treasurer as we implement the next stage of our strategic growth. The main role of the Treasurer is to

• Support the YMCA MK Board, Sub committees and CEO. Oversea the financial affairs of YMCA MK and Northamptonshire to ensure they are legal and constitutional. Provide advice, assistance and information to Board Members on their financial stewardship responsibilities. Liaise between the Board and senior staff on financial matters.

Professional advice is available from the external auditors.

The Treasurer has additional responsibilities to that of Board Member:

1. Ensure proper records are kept and effective financial procedures are in place. Monitor and report on the financial health of the organisation.

The time commitment required is therefore greater than is required to fulfil the responsibilities of a general Trustee.
