This food manufacturer is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a background in food manufacturing or FMCG. Your role will be pivotal in harnessing the power of brand new technology and equipment to elevate production and decrease downtime.
As part of the maintenance team, your day-to-day will involve utilising your advanced PLC skills to modify existing software and fine-tune programmes, ensuring seamless operations. Your expertise will be the driving force behind minimising downtime and spearheading continuous improvement projects. With your technical acumen, you will provide critical support during breakdowns and diligently carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
The role as a Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical Bias:
To provide technical support to the shift engineering team, reactive and proactive engineering work as required.
Advise as shift expert in Electrical Engineering as and when required
To own and maintain the preventative and planned maintenance schedules in line with KPI’s.
To coordinate, plan and deliver training to engineers to assist with developing capability in the engineering team.
To be successful in this Maintenance Engineer's role you will need:
An electrical Engineering qualification, and a time served Apprenticeship with an electrical bias.
Electrical systems and installation experience and training
Experience of working with manufacturing machinery
Background preferably in Food Manufacturing or FMCG.
A strong background of working with PLC's including fault finding/rectification and programming ideally Allan Bradley or Omron. The package on offer in this Maintenance Engineers role:
4 on 4 off days and nights pattern
