At YMCA Childcare Water Lane we are seeking a Deputy Room leader to join our wonderful friendly team working within our 2.5-5 year old room.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to support our Room Leader, ensuring high quality inclusive childcare is continually provided.

  • Do you have the ability to strongly lead a team, inspire children and provide engaging activities for a variety of ages?
  • Can you empathise with parents and ensure they are happy with the care provided?
  • Do you act with integrity through your practice which will provide the very best for our children and families?

The ideal candidate requires the following skills and qualifications.

  • Qualified with a relevant Early Years Level 3 qualification, or equivalent
  • A minimum of two years post qualifying experience
  • Extensive working knowledge of the EYFS
  • Experience of managing other people, including volunteers
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Be motivated to provide high quality Childcare at all times

In accordance with safer recruitment processes many of the roles we recruit for require successful candidates to undertake an appropriate criminal record background check. Days and hours You will be contracted to work 18 hours per week, all year round.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 8.45am-3.15pm. Working days may change in the holidays.

Salary and Benefits £10,333.44
