Fabricator/Welder – Tredegar

Salary: starting from £32,240.00 per year – Plus overtime available

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Working hours : Monday – Friday

We are seeking an experienced an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join a fast-growing engineering company.

Main Duties:

  • Competently carrying out TIG, MIG and MMA welding on all metals, including mild steel and stainless steel (advantage if able to work with aluminium).
  • Ability to work from drawings supplied and draw up work from site visits and fabricate as needed - including completing all necessary paperwork.
  • Inspect all components, to ensure they have been completed to a high standard.
  • Must be a good team player, however, also able to work using your own initiative.
  • Follow company health and safety procedures and wearing the correct uniform and PPE.
  • Keep a neat and tidy workspace

About You:

  • NVQ3 welding qualification (minimum).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience.
  • Experience with hand-held and power tools to assist work.

Preferred Additions

  • Experience of working in food and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Experience with, or knowledge of conveyor systems.
  • Fork truck license is an advantage /or willingness to be trained.
  • Willingness to be trained on new equipment the company invests in.
  • Willingness to work at height as part of our operation. This could be either on scaffolding, ladders, or powered machines (such as cherry pickers and scissor lifts etc).
  • Willingness to train as confined space operative.
