Great opportunity for a Project Manager to run this refurbishment of an existing commercial office in Putney, South London - strip back to RC frame, vertical extension above, reclad with curtain walling and bronze cladding panels, new internal fit out to Cat A, new MEP, etc.
Reporting to visiting Construction Director, you will be responsible for the delivery of this scheme throughout the construction phase, and managing all site-based construction activities including design coordination, programming of the works, logistics planning, health and safety, review of method statements, risk assessments, quality control, internal client liaison, sub-contractor start and coordination meetings, reporting on progress against program, etc, snagging and handover.
This project has commenced on site with early enabling works and soft strip demolition phase internally, with main works due to start in July; About the Company/Client/Project:
This developer client is well established in the South Coast area with a range of hotels, retirement homes, commercial offices and high spec residential developments in the Hampshire and Dorset areas both completed and within its existing pipeline of work over the next few years. Projects range in value from £10m to £35m, and include refurbishments, new builds, change of use, etc in these sectors.
The successful candidate will have 8-10+ years of experience as a Site to Senior Manager, will be highly motivated and proactive, demonstrating sound technical, practical, organisational, team-management and communication skills. A proven track record of undertaking similar work with a main contractor or similar developer in the area would be advantageous. Ideally from a trades or construction management background with a sharp eye for detail and quality, you will possess good planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, 'get it right first time' approach.
You will possess your SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications for this role.
