Telephone number: High Point Academy opened in September 2021 for children and young people aged 11-16 years who all have an Education Health and Care Plan and a diagnosis of Autism. The school is part of Forward Education Trust, who specialise in SEN provision. We are increasing our pupil numbers in September 2023 which has allowed for this fantastic new role.
We are on the lookout for an outstanding primary or secondary teacher who has a real passion for teaching pupils with SEN. Ideally who has experience with working with pupils with a diagnosis of Autism and recognises the importance of life skills to support our pupils for the future.
Within this role you will be teaching pupils within the Developer pathway. As our school grows you’ll be responsible for the third class which will be introduced in September. This is a really exciting opportunity to join our growing nurturing school.
You will respond to meet the individual needs of our students and help them to build strategies to minimise the barriers to their learning; enabling them to prepare for adult life both educationally and emotionally.
You will be part of a strong caring staff community, who work together to achieve the best we can for the young people we work with. We all share the nurturing and enthusiastic approach which cascades our mission and ethos across the school.
