We have on average 40 hours per week available for a Flexible Temporary Worker plus overtime. This is a temporary assignment with the potential of turning into a permanent role, working in Merton, SM4 area.

Job Details

Hours: On average 40 hours per week, shifts as per site rota. Monday - Sunday 07:00am - 19:00pm.

Salary: £12.20 - Weekly pay.

Job Purpose

To assist in the day-to-day monitoring and enforcement of environmental issues, anti-social behaviour, and contraventions of relevant legislation working alongside the Local Authority and Kingdom.

Key Roles
  1. Foot patrols of on and off-street areas, inspecting public areas, identifying contraventions, and issuing Fixed Penalty Notices using a handheld terminal (EDA - Electronic Digital Assistant) or manual systems when necessary, reporting any environmental, Anti-social behaviour, and community safety problems to relevant departments where appropriate.
  2. Maintain accurate records of activities, Fixed Penalty Notices issued, and evidence required for court proceedings.
  3. Attend Court proceedings to support prosecutions where required.
  4. Maintain a suitable level of knowledge of relevant legislation (including but not limited to Cleaner Neighbourhoods & Environment Act 2005, Environmental Protection Act 1990, PACE 1984, RIPA 2000).
  5. Undertake administrative duties as required, ensuring that correct audit procedures and security arrangements are followed.
  6. Synchronise FPN (Fixed Penalty Notice) and photographic evidence from handheld terminals and/or digital cameras.
  7. Download and manage video evidence from Body-Worn Video Devices.
  8. Such other responsibilities allocated which are appropriate to the grade of the post.

Learning and Development: We have an informative and practical course aimed at aspiring environmental officers, our training gives a greater insight into the daily duties required to become an environmental enforcement officer, current Legislation and the communication and interaction aspect of the role.

What is included in your agreement with us? We generally operate as an Agency and Employment Business, as referred to in the regulations in our ‘agreement for work finding services,’ and we are in the business of providing recruitment services to Client’s looking for workers, and work finding services to candidates seeking work.

With the opportunity to transfer to a full-time Kingdom contract. Full PAYE status. Eligible for SSP/SMP. Weekly pay every Friday. Holiday pay. The ability to claim and be paid legitimate HMRC (HM Revenue and Customs) work/travel related expenses each week.
