About the role

We're looking for an experienced and strategically minded Chief of Staff to support our Chief Products and Engineering Officer (CPEO) in driving the vision and execution of our Product and Engineering initiatives. As the right-hand person to the CPEO, you will play a pivotal role in translating strategic objectives into actionable plans through effective collaboration with the P&E leadership teams. Day-to-day, you will:

  1. Collaborate closely with the CPEO to understand and articulate the overarching P&E strategy.
  2. Work with the P&E senior leadership team to align Divisional strategies with Functional and Access-wide goals.
  3. Facilitate communication channels between the CPEO and the senior leadership team.
  4. Ensure clear and consistent messaging of strategic priorities throughout the organisation.
  5. Assist in translating strategic goals into tangible action plans, ensuring alignment with available resources and capabilities.
  6. Monitor progress against plans, identify risks, and propose mitigating actions.
  7. Act as a liaison between the CPEO and other teams, fostering collaboration and information flow.
  8. Provide talent management support, including senior recruitment, onboarding, and professional development initiatives.
  9. Conduct research and analysis to provide the CPEO with data-driven insights for decision-making.
  10. Develop briefing materials and presentations for key meetings and initiatives.
  11. Oversee key strategic projects, ensuring that they align with organisational objectives and are delivered on time and within budget.

Your skills and experiences might include:

  • Proven and extensive experience in a Chief of Staff or similar strategic, programme management role, preferably within a technology or product-focused organisation.
  • Strong understanding of product development and engineering processes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results.
  • Proven track record of successfully translating strategy into actionable plans.
  • Experience working with senior leadership teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
