At Ducklings Childcare our ethos is all about creating a family atmosphere in a safe, secure environment. Ducklings is a privately owned converted Georgian townhouse and we pride ourselves on our home from home feel as well as our large walled garden with beautiful lawns.
Ducklings have recently received an Outstanding grade from Ofsted and due to expanding we are now looking for a Room leader and a L3 Qualified staff member to join our loyal team.
Supporting in the smooth daily running - interacting with the children, planning, setting up and cleaning down.
\* Making sure all children's needs are met. To deliver the Development matters framework in accordance to setting policies and procedures.
\* To observe each child's progress and report on achievements.
\* Ensure you are familiar with all policies and procedures and keep up to date.
\* Attend and take part in staff meetings, training and parents evenings.
\* We promote staff training within our company.
Supervise and lead a team of nursery staff in providing high-quality care and education to children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and programs that promote children's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behavior, and development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and provide regular updates on their child's progress.
- Collaborate with other nursery staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Previous experience working in a nursery or early childhood education setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and practices.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of nursery staff.
- DBS check and enrolled onto the update service.
