The Product Management team partners with R&D stakeholders and Onyx leadership to develop a strategic roadmap for all customer-facing aspects of Onyx, including data assets, ontology, Knowledge Graph / semantic search, data / computing / analysis platforms, and data-powered applications. As a product designer II, you will lead the product design strategy, design and development of user-centered solutions to increase the overall experience of our data products and services.
You will work closely with product team and engineering teams to translate business goals and user needs into design solutions.In this role you will Conduct user research, understanding scientific workflows and pain points by working with scientists and product managers to develop user-friendly and solid user experiences Lead the UX strategy and design process, responsible for the concept ideation, wireframes, prototypes, design sprints that address the specific needs of key personas;Validate product concept effectively by developing prototypes and interactive mockups with scientific customers and engineers;Collaborate with product managers to define requirements, prioritize features and iterate design solutions;Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UI/UX Design, product design or related field. A significant amount of relevant design experience in UI/UX design, interaction, and product design. Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma and others.Strong understanding of leveraging quantitative data to inform product and design decisionsFamiliar with agile/scrum methodologiesExcellent communication and collaboration skills to present design concepts with product managers, engineers, stakeholders, and customers.
