The role of Clinical Lead Orthotist involves delivering orthotic services to the highest clinical and ethical standards. As a key member of our team, you will provide training and supervision to students, less experienced colleagues, and customers in all aspects of the service.
Main Responsibilities:- Leading clinically with complex cases
- Training, mentoring, and supervising less experienced colleagues
- Providing guidance to the clinical team on the most appropriate clinical intervention
- Leading the orthotic team in outcome measurement, including use of gait analysis equipment
- Assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, supplying, reviewing, and adjusting orthoses as required
- Assisting with presentations, seminars, training, and education at all levels
- Working within the framework provided by our company to ensure cost-effective product provision
- Taking part in clinical audit and clinical research, liaising with both clinical and technical employees
- Qualified in Prosthetics and Orthotics
- HCPC registration
- Member of BAPO/ISPO (desirable)
- Experience in a wide range of orthotic provision, including paediatrics, orthopaedics, and footwear
- Able to prioritise and manage your own workload and that of others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of communicating with colleagues at all levels
- Be able to manage difficult, challenging, and sensitive situations
- Good judgment and decision-making skills
