Reporting To: Limestone Production Manager Salary: Starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications Location: This role is in Kilwaughter, Co. Antrim Purpose: This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team and work as part of a growing business that is prepared to invest in your future. We currently have an opportunity for a Heavy Production Operative to join our Operations team. As part of our production team, you will have the responsibility of operating production machinery to produce a range of products. Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for your own Health and Safety and that of your colleagues
  • Ensure compliance with company policies; Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental and FEMAS management systems.
  • Operating automatic and manual machinery to produce products in line with production targets whilst ensuring all standards are achieved.
  • Assist with improvements and efficiencies in all production aspects.
  • Responsible for material waste management
  • Ensure that machinery is in a safe and satisfactory working manner before use by conducting regular pre-production checks.
  • Responsible for reporting any machine faults to supervisor or maintenance team.
  • Ensure effective house- keeping in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate paperwork is completed and maintained.
  • Maintain files and records and provide quick accurate information when required.
  • Ensure good relations and communications with all members and non-members of the team, providing excellent customer care in an efficient manner.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues to ensure a ‘one team approach’ to deliver the company’s performance standards and the business objectives.
  • Undertake duties considered by the company as within the competence of the role.
Education: Essential : GCSE qualification in Maths & English minimum Grade C or equivalent Desirable: NVQ Level 2 or quivalent Education Essential:
  • 1 years proven experience operating automatic and manual processing machinery. · · ​​​​​​​· Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Experience with Heavy plant machinery such as Rigid Dumper, Articulated Dumper and Shove
Desirable:
  • Experience of working to ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001
  • Working within the Quarrying / Milling industry
  • Forklift truck licence and experience
Skills and Competences: Essential:·
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills, both oral and written · Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge and implementation of Health & Safety
Desirable: · Working knowledge of FEMAS Circumstances: Essential:
  • The shift pattern for this role is as followed: 2-week rotating shifts (1 Week days, 1 Week Nights)
  • Ability to do nightshift is essential for this role.
  • Able to work flexible hours as required and overtime
