Brand Marketing Manager

Reporting to: Marketing Director, (subject to change)

Hybrid (will require some travel to our offices)

Following another outstanding year for Team 17, we are currently looking to grow our Product and Brand Marketing team as we seek to hire a Brand Marketing Manager to work with us on our ever expanding diverse portfolio of games, we and our partner studios create.

As a key member of our team, passion, high energy, positive outlook and creativity are key, being commercially minded with strategic thinking is important, ability to schedule and execute creative dynamic launch campaigns for games is critical. We are looking for someone who has exceptional organisational skills, as well as excellent team communication skills. You will be the internal champion of your games and will take ownership in ensuring all other areas of marketing, PR, Influencer Relations, Community and Sales, run in tandem with your vision and launch campaigns. The candidates we are looking for will show the ability to understand the overall project P&L and balance commercial priorities along the development path to release.

You will report into the Senior Brand Marketing Manager, and also work closely with the Global Marketing Director.

What will be working on as a Brand Marketing Manager?

  • You will take ownership for the creation & execution of marketing plans for your games on our games label. Working with internal specialists, agencies and external teams to deliver unique integrated marketing plans that deliver results.
  • Analyse and report on campaign performance throughout the lifecycle to inform strategic decision making of both live and future game releases.
  • Oversee marketing deliverables, this includes planning and accounting for assets requests, press opportunities, production constraints and adjustments to the product plan. Proactively analyse the games marketplace and wider entertainment industry to understand game audiences, competitors, and changes in the industry.
  • Work with game teams to supply detailed marketing strategies to best deliver results for their games.
  • Ensure all games handled are effectively managed and take a collegiate approach to relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bring excellence in creative thought and innovative ambitions to marketing campaigns, inspiring the best in others and always placing the product first.
  • Act as a champion of collaboration with your teammates: solve problems, elevate thinking and generate ideas however you can with the people closest to the product; you are their shield during challenging times; you are there to achieve greatness together and have fun as a team.

What we would like to see:

  • Previous experience releasing games onto multiple platforms, within indie or AAA space and anything in between.
  • Previous experience in creating and executing inventive marketing strategic to bring a diverse range of games to market.
  • An analytical mindset, with the ability to synthesize data, market trends and user feedback to assist the team in creating insightful product features.
  • Strong communication skills and a natural ability to influence. You should be a proactive, determined and effective cross-functional driver.
  • Positive attitude engaged work ethic, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.

The Interview Process

The interview process for the Brand Marketing Manager role is made up of 3 stages:

  • Stage 1 (up to 60 minutes) You'll initially meet with a Senior Brand Manager. This will be your chance to talk through your experience, whilst also having the opportunity to ask any questions.
  • Stage 2 (up to 45 minutes) You'll meet the Global Marketing Director.
  • Stage 3 (3 x 45 minutes) For the final stage you'll meet with some key stakeholders from different disciplines within Publishing who you'd be working with day to day. The topics of each of these interviews will be sent to you in advance of the meeting.

Our average process takes around 2-3 weeks, but we will always work around your availability. Prior to your 1st stage interview, we will endeavour to send you a selection of core interview questions you will be asked at interview . We want you to do the best you can and believe receiving questions in advance will support your candidate experience with us.
