As a Babcock Defence Support Group (DSG) Technical Apprentice on our Welding and Fabrication Apprenticeship, you’ll work on a wide range of Military Land Equipment, tackling challenging and varied tasks in an exciting environment. Apprentices will be trained to a Welding and Fabrication apprenticeship standard to achieve a fully accredited Level 3 qualification. The academic aspects of the apprenticeship will be delivered off-site. The rest of the time, you'll be working from your selected home location, with opportunities to work from alternate sites for brief periods to broaden your overall experience.

- Able to demonstrate, through testing, an aptitude and understanding of mechanical or electrical components and engineering.
- Be capable of carrying out instructions accurately and methodically.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a team.
- Demonstrate knowledge and application of IT.
Many of our early careers roles are subject to Security Clearance and Trade Control restrictions which mean that your place of birth, nationality, citizenship, or residency you hold or have held may impact which roles you are eligible for. Further details are available at United Kingdom Security Vetting: clearance levels – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk). For our early careers roles, you must be able to achieve BPSS and many of them require you to be eligible for Security Clearance.
