Walker Cole International is supporting one of its clients with their search for a Medical Affairs Lead. This is an opportunity to join a growing business with a broad portfolio covering Prescription Medicines (Rx), Cosmetics, Medical Devices and Homecare products.


The Medical Affairs Lead is responsible for providing Medical Information, Training and Support across all areas of the companies product portfolio, you will also be tasked with developing a Medical Affairs strategy and department that meets the needs of a growing business.

The business are headquartered in the North West of England, with offices across Europe.


Your responsibilities as the Medical Affairs Lead will be:


  • Providing up to date Medical and Scientific expertise for all products and therapy areas through relationships with key opinion leaders, institutions, investigators and professional societies.
  • Deliver effective training and educational materials for internal and external stakeholders including Commercial, Regulatory, Compliance, Market Access and Quality (QA).
  • To ensure the Medical Affairs department remain compliant with compliance procedures, and regulatory requirements including PMCPA, NMC, APBI, GxP.
  • Provide Medical and Scientific review for Promotional and Non-Promotional materials, to ensure accuracy and safety.


The successful candidate for the Medical Affairs Lead will demonstrate the following:


  • Appropriate qualification in Medicine, Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences, PhD
  • Knowledge and experience of the APBI Code of Practice and MHRA Blue Guide
  • Experience of working in a diverse range of Medical Functions including, Medical Science Liaison, Medical Affairs, Scientific Advisory.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, ideally gained by working with global teams.
