Due to significant growth, we are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrician to lead our site-based team. The ideal candidate will possess the skills of a competent Electrician, along with strong management abilities and comprehensive knowledge of electrical installation techniques.


Responsibilities include:


  • Leading and overseeing all aspects of electrical installation for commercial systems, including coordination with the mechanical team to ensure efficient cable management and penetration sealing.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with industry standards and best practices for electrical installations, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborating closely with project managers, mechanical installers, and other team members to coordinate workflow, allocate resources effectively, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Providing mentorship, guidance, and support to apprentices and support engineers, fostering skill development and maintaining consistent quality standards across the team.
  • Demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills to overcome challenges encountered during installations, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Upholding a strong commitment to safety, promoting a culture of safety awareness and risk mitigation on job sites through regular training and enforcement of safety protocols.
  • Working away from home when required so flexibility is a must.


Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as an Electrician in electrical installation for commercial solar PV systems, with a demonstrable track record of successful projects and client satisfaction.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve excellence.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Commitment to upholding company values of professionalism, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications in solar PV installation preferred but not essential.
  • Nationwide travel to and from job sites as required.
  • Minimum qualifications include:
  • City & Guilds 2360 or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 3
  • AM2
  • City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (2394/2395)
  • ECS Gold card
