We are looking to hire a Technical Product Owner/Senior Business Analyst in a full-time role to join our experienced team and get hands on exposure to cutting edge innovation, centred on the next wave of digital finance. The successful candidate will learn from a team that has deployed very successful, ground-breaking services to millions of customers.

4RDigital is a technical services partner for Cavex Limited, a digital marketplace for voluntary carbon markets which is set to pioneer the carbon market space. 4RDigital is looking to grow and expand the team to support Cavex business and other greenfield projects that are quite exciting and impactful. As part of the strong team, you'll be given the opportunity to make your mark on them and grow professionally as the business grows.

Position Description

You will join an experienced team of Product managers and Product owners and get hands on experience in supporting this team as they plan and deliver 4R Digital’s product and technology roadmap.

As product owner you will support the product team to define and draft business and functional user stories and prioritising them for the team. You will also support the day-to-day activities of the team participating in scrum ceremonies and looking inwards to the team to help them understand the customer and stakeholder’s interests.

You will feed directly into product planning sessions. Over time, you will also contribute to project strategies, and their successful implementation and measurement.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • You will participate in the full product development life cycle spanning concept mapping, requirements planning through to detailed backlog drafting and reviewing. You will have close support from and be expected to carryout instructions as directed by the Product Director.
  • Draft SMART requirements that can be achievable and measured independently through Features and user stories and refine it with discussions with the team
  • Once the requirements baseline is established, it is the responsibility of the junior analyst to maintain and verify requirements specifications accordingly.
  • You will work closely with the organisation management in order to identify customer needs and establish ways upon which customer needs can be met.
  • Represent the stakeholders’ interests to the team and ensure the business value and the user needs are clarified to the team
  • You will be required to carefully assess and analyse the business implications involved as the team considers different development options.

You will certainly get to work with partners and other stakeholders to 4R Digital.

Job Specifics

  • Address business problems in an analytical manner with structured decision-making, guided by senior leadership feedback.
  • Document and analyse functional and non-functional specifications, coordinating requirements for review and approvals as part of project scope and planning.
  • Draft SMART requirements through Epics, features and user stories defining achievable and measurable acceptance criteria for the technical teams to consume
  • Support the creation of use cases, functional specifications, diagrams, and technical documentation as needed to articulate requirements.
  • Participate in scrum ceremonies with the team using the Agile methodology
  • Collaborate with the team to clarify business requirements and functional use cases and represent the stakeholder within the squad
  • Perform testing of the features and user stories once completed by the team to ensure the acceptance criteria has been met and log bugs and CRs appropriately
  • Be available and approachable to the development team to discuss and clarify requirements as well as discuss solution options when needed
  • Support lead product teams and senior stakeholders at 4RDigital to prioritise and define product roadmap and milestones
  • Support product walkthroughs and system demos with external stakeholders and sponsors of the product
  • Preparing and leading interviews and workshops with a variety of different client stakeholders and synthesising key insights.
  • Producing written documentation to support your work, reporting on your findings, and presenting to stakeholders and peers when necessary.
  • Data and scenario analysis, identifying gaps and areas for operational improvement.
  • Provide ideas towards new ways of working with partners and project-level stakeholders (including end users of the technologies we develop).
  • Plan, co-ordinate user testing, issue capture and resolution.
  • Supporting multiple projects and business units whilst working to tight deadlines.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A general understanding of and strong willingness to further develop:
  • Gathering Business Requirements.
  • Agile Software Delivery Methods
  • Scrum methodology
  • Draft SMART requirements through user stories
  • Manual testing of developed software

Note: formal (external) training, for example in Agile Development Methods, will be provided alongside hands on experience with guidance from internal mentors.
