Description

The successful Vice President - IT responsible for the technology set up and strategy for new factories being built in the UK and India. We are looking for an industry leader/expert in manufacturing and general IT infrastructure with the ability to run a global team and own the greenfield set up of IT systems at both sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for an influential senior leader to have a significant impact on large scale manufacturing projects ,reporting directly to the board and owning the manufacturing IT strategy in close collaboration with the global CIO. Please note, this role will be based in Somerset but, due to the international responsibility, there is an expectation of c30% travel, primarily to India and China.

Profile

We are looking for an IT Director/VP Technology/CIO who is a true expert from the Manufacturing sector. Experience should include:

· Green field manufacturing setup experience for a complex, continuous factory

· Being an expert in Manufacturing infrastructure and applications with proven experience in planning scalable IT infrastructure that is future business ready.

· Be able to design, deploy new age industry 4.0 technologies vis- vis dashboards, generative AI, and predictive maintenance.

· A deep knowledge, understanding and experience on various Data Server layers: Network Layer, Application Layer and Database Layer.

· Experience of cyber security, DMZ and end point security and having used this knowledge to design and deploy various IT solutions.

Job Offer

Salary and car allowance of up to £150,000 in addition to a generous benefits package with a 20% discretionary bonus. Relocation support to Somerset (in time) if needed. A hybrid working pattern, although it is expected that the chosen candidate live in a reasonable commute.
