Marketing Manager Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Marketing Manager on an 18-month maternity contract for a well-known research and probate company based in Shoreditch. This role's purpose is to execute marketing campaigns across all of our clients’ offices, in line with the business strategy, while overseeing the management of the marketing team.
Our client serves both the legal sector and public sector markets. They have a number of different marketing methods to highlight their range of services to these sectors, from events, direct mailings, email marketing and social media. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person with a high level of drive and enthusiasm who enjoys a challenge and has experience managing a marketing team.
Duties and Responsibilities for the Marketing Manager:
This role is responsible for leading the marketing team and implementing the marketing strategy across our clients group companies:
- Responsible for management of staff within the Marketing & Events team.
- Line Management duties to include recruitment, RTW interviews, 1-2-1 meetings, setting objectives, performance reviews, disciplinary procedures.
- Responsibility for conducting/overseeing training and development of team members
- Create and manage marketing budgets, and monthly reporting to senior management
- Develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive sales
- Develop and maintain relationships with key media outlets and stakeholders to increase company’s brand and reputation
- Collaborate with teams across the company and offices to develop campaigns and marketing products
- Monitor and analyse industry trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth
- Manage and develop social media content, email marketing campaigns
- Manage content writing and distribution
- Oversee the management of the company’s social media accounts and develop engaging content
- Analyse marketing campaigns and efforts to measure effectiveness
- Develop and manage PR opportunities
- Oversee event planning across the company and liaise with BDMs regarding future planning.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships and partners, clients, and stakeholders.
- Manage internal events & organization of charity/social initiatives
- Attendance at regular management meetings
- Attendance at corporate functions as directed by your line manager or senior management
- Travel within the UK and overseas to events
- Assist the Marketing team with other ad hoc tasks.
General:
- To undertake training and development as specified by line manager, management or director
- Undertake any additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by line manager/CEO.
- To observe the company’s conduct code, rules and regulations
- To attend corporate functions as directed by line manager, management or director.
- Attend internal or other meetings or events as requested.
Marketing Manager Personal Specification:
Essential:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a Marketing Manager/ Head of Marketing Role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent administrative skills
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Through knowledge of MS Word
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to liaise with clients, solicitors and members of the public in a courteous and professional manner over the telephone and in writing
- Reliable, flexible and adaptable
- Ability to work on own initiative and organise own workload
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a high workload effectively
- Ability to travel and accommodate overnight stays across the UK and Ireland.
Desired:
- Experience of working in the legal marketing sector
- Experience with using marketing software: Hubspot & Wordpress.
