Role Description

You are responsible for creating the right environment for your multidisciplinary team to succeed, helping them to self-organise whilst creating a culture of learning and transparency. You'll be a key part of one of the UK's biggest and most high-profile digital transformation programmes, a once-in-a-generation reform of government products and services.

As an Azure Test Engineer, you'll be joining our team and helping us roll out and integrate different services on the Azure AD for our public sector customer. You will play a vital role in leading our team to successfully delivery technical features and be the go-to person for issues related to a specific set of features.


Key requirements:


  1. Strong testing experience within public sector across delivery of secure digital services.
  2. Knowledge of test automation with Java, selenium and cucumber.
  3. Knowledge of Azure infrastructure, implementation, and security.
  4. Experience testing Azure AD services such as multi-factor authentication (MFA), Conditional Access, SSO (single sign-on), SSPR (self-service password reset) and RBAC (Role based access control)
  5. Experience testing complex Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
  6. Ability to understand complex technical requirements and design test scripts following the programme test approach.
  7. Work closely with the test assurance function, ensuring quality gates are met with analysis of test coverage evidenced against requirements.
  8. Support User acceptance testing and security testing of the implemented solutions.
  9. Configure and maintain through automated scripting and tooling where appropriate.
  10. Solid knowledge of networking concepts and technologies (DNS/DCHP)
  11. Experience with PKI (Public Key Infrastructure)
  12. Third line support activities including trouble shooting, root cause analysis and incident resolution.
  13. Support the technical writers with creation of SyOps, User Guides, Knowledge Base Articles, Acceptable use policies for each of the services described above.
  14. Work in a cross-functional Agile team (experience with SAFe will be useful)
  15. Excellent written and communication skills with good attention to detail.
  16. Excellent ability to collaborate and coordinate with a variety of stakeholders.
  17. Industry recognised qualifications and certifications relevant to the role.
