Our client is a well-known US fashion brand with over 20,000 employees and 3000+ stores globally. They have established enterprise cloud, datacentre, infrastructure and database teams across North America, Mexico and India and are looking to grow their technology team in Europe.

You will be their first Cloud DBA for EMEA and likely to lead a small team in the near future.


You will maintaining, securing, and operating databases:

-Lead technical discussion on data migration from on premise to public cloud

-Managing database environments in Azure

-Using SQL and scripting for database automation and maintenance

-Database security and data protection

-Database backup, recovery strategies and disaster recovery procedures

-Performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting database performance issues

-Design and deploy cloud database technology solutions in Azure using IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS

-Develop Infrastructure as Code using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform and other tools


Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree or higher;

-1+ year experience in managing database in Azure OR experience using two or more of the following toolsets: Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, XL Release, Artifactory, GitHub, Continuum, PowerShell

-3+ years experience as DBA working with SQL server or Oracle

-Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages for database automation and maintenance

-Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting database performance issues

-Willing to take on call responsibilities


Permanent role, full remote working, offer up to £50k base plus 10% bonus, private healthcare and other benefits. Also provide training for the professional certificates and career progression to tech lead.
