We are currently recruiting for a number of Residential New Build schemes based in South East London, one of the schemes is a 1,000 unit scheme RC Frame projects which is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support a strong team of commercial staff.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, ensuring adherence to budgets.
- Prepare tender documentation and manage the tendering process.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide mitigation strategies for cost-related risks.
- Negotiate contracts and payment arrangements with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Evaluate and process project variation orders and claims.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions based on cost assessments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
