Education Psychologist


Essential Information

  • Candidates would need to commit to 4 assessments per month, and also commit up until March 2025.
  • All EP's must have 3 years of experience to practice as a contractor
  • Candidates need a PHD / Doctorate or Masters in Educational Psychology - or equivalent.
  • Candidates must be able to provide 2 anonymous reports to read with CV submission
  • Whilst in the role, all reports will be read and checked - critiqued where necessary


About the Role

  • To contribute to improving the quality of education provided by maintained schools and academies for children and young people and especially those with SEN by:
  • Providing psychological advice (including stator advice) to SEN services and other officers for children and young people aged 0 – 25.
  • Providing psychological advice and support to communities, school, parents, children and young people.
  • Contributing to multi – agency support for children and young people


What is the day-to-day of the role:

  • Act as consultant on Psychological matters with parents, carers, teachers, other professionals working with children and young people.
  • Work with staff in Education and Inclusion branch in order to contribute to school effectiveness
  • Prepare and maintain writes records.
  • You must be able to provide stator advice to LA’s in accordance with the SEN code of practice.
  • You must be willing to attend SEN and disability tribunals as required by the LA.
