Project Manager – Flood Alleviation - £80k - £90k + package


Our Contractor specializes in delivering innovative solutions for environmental and infrastructure challenges. Unite People are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead flood alleviation projects, ensuring communities are safeguarded against the impacts of flooding. If you’re passionate about managing critical infrastructure projects and making a tangible difference, this role is for you.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all stages of flood alleviation projects, from feasibility to completion.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and environmental specialists.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and technical specifications.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure timely delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including local authorities, regulatory bodies, and community representatives.
  • Prepare and present detailed project reports and updates.
  • Oversee procurement processes and manage contractor performance.
  • Ensure project outcomes meet sustainability and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental science, project management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing flood alleviation or water infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of flood risk management techniques and environmental legislation.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
