We are currently looking for a Principal Computational Geneticist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Computational Scientist you will be supporting the analytical workload within a Genetics group, as well as potentially leading projects with an outward facing role.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Computational Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As the Computational Scientist, you will be analysing and using genetic data generated through multiple platforms and associated analytical approaches.
2. As the Computational Scientist, you will using your expert knowledge of statistics with specific experience in, and application of, statistical genetics.
3. As the Computational Scientist, you will be utilising advanced computational skills: Proficiency in using R, Pythom ,SQL, Bash and working in a cloud environment.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Computational Geneticist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Preferably, experience of the application of genetics and genetic approaches to drug discovery and development.
2. Preferably, expertise in methods for functional interpretation of genomics data, such as variant and gene pathway mapping and enrichment.
