Lutine Bell are supporting a multiple award winning General Insurance and Investments firm to appoint a Senior Actuary into their expanding team.


Role:

You will be sitting within the Risk Division, helping to lead Risk led assurance reviews and ensure critical business calculations within Pricing, Reserving and Capital Modelling. Acting as the Chief Actuary's delegate, you will be providing technical advice to third party suppliers of advice and technical software solutions for Actuarial modelling. Supporting senior management decision-making and compliance with relevant regulations such as Solvency II. Providing assurance over actuarial work and wider risk topics in line with company strategy in line with PRA expectations. Lead, manage, motivate, and develop junior actuarial staff.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead Risk led assurance reviews
  • Ensure critical business calculations within Pricing, Reserving and Capital Modelling
  • Provide technical advice to third party suppliers
  • Support senior management decision-making
  • Compliance with relevant regulations such as Solvency II
  • Provide assurance over actuarial work and wider risk topics
  • Lead, manage, motivate, and develop junior actuarial staff


Qualifications:

Fully qualified Actuary with experience in the General Insurance sector. Strong technical knowledge of actuarial techniques either in General Insurance Pricing, Reserving or Capital modelling.
