This role manages a small team of three Systems Analysts who use and administer the above products. You will oversee them while remaining hands on.
This is a niche application based role and it is not suitable for a generalist IT Manager/IT Director/CTO.

Job Description
We are an independent, owner-managed global equity investment firm based in London. The firm has approximately 85 staff and manages assets of around $40billion for a broad range of institutional clients.
Role description
The Head of Information Systems reports to the Head of Operations, Technology, Change and Data, and is responsible for our application technology.
This is a hands-on role which will provide an excellent platform for personal development. The role will be varied and challenging with responsibility for our full suite of Information Systems, as well as line managing and assisting the team enhancing and supporting those systems.
Our business has a best of breed application architecture, including market leading applications such as SimCorp’s Dimension, S&P’s ThinkFolio, Flextrade, Informatica and others.
Key Tasks will include:
Maintain, develop and deliver our Information Systems strategy, budget and annual change programme.
Overall responsibility for application design, development, modification, support and maintenance; and for overall systems architecture, design and upkeep, including data and database security considerations as appropriate.
Work closely with business users to define functional and technical requirements for all Information Systems and applications to ensure all business needs are fully met.
Responsible for negotiating, co-ordinating and administering the procurement of Information Systems and IT consultancy services, and the on-going management of the relationship and delivery of services from those providers.
Accountable for the maintenance and support of all Information Systems to ensure their integrity, availability and performance. This includes the testing and implementation of appropriate software patches and upgrades, and supporting all business users in their use of software applications.
Lead and develop the Information Systems team, conducting performance appraisals and setting clear objectives, and ensuring that adequate day to day oversight and direction is always present.
Ensure that key person risk continues to be managed and reduced across the board.
Candidate Profile
Minimum of 10 years of experience leading technology functions within asset management.
Track record of successfully managing third party relationships.
Sound knowledge of wider regulatory obligations and experience of developing and implementing operations strategies.
Proven experience managing, coaching and developing teams. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proven ability of working to tight deadlines, through an ability to prioritise and manage workloads.
Ability to identify when issues should be escalated. Strong control and risk awareness.
Highest level of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion and judgement.
Impeccable ethical standards.
Good network and knowledge of industry trends and developments.
Hours
Contractual hours are 40 per week from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. We operate a hybrid working policy, allowing all staff to choose to work remotely for up to three days across two working weeks.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays have been designated a core day when all staff attend the office. Due to the nature of the role; out of hours work may occasionally be required as part of system upgrades, or during system outages, etc.
