Tangent International are urgently looking for FTTx Permit Administrator to work a 6 month rolling contract based in Cornwall (Hybrid)
Job Purpose
- The Permit Administrator report into the Permit Team Lead / Project Manager and undertake all works associated with the permitting, wayleaves, right of ways and Asset Sharing (e.g., PIA in UK) for deployment of a fibre network.
Key Tasks
- Responsible for the management and administration of permitting. This will involve the monitoring and coordination of Streetworks activities
- Working closely with Build Managers and Build partners for the planning and scheduling of work
- Collate all required permit information for works
- Regularly liaising with the Build Teams to ensure all permits are administered with the correct information so that no FPNs or charges are incurred
- Assisting management with challenging / resolving any FPNs received for completed works
- Responsible for the set-up and coordination of resources, processes and strategies and compilation of the required documents for the complete processing of Planning Permissions, Wayleaves, private permits, Asset sharing (PIA), TTRO’s. Ensure all deliverables meet the required quality criteria.
- Identification of all possible permits that may be required for the deployment of a fibre network utilizing all available sources (e.g., HLD, Local regulations and customer specific requirements). Identify critical permits and take actions to prioritize to ensure timely application and issuance.
- Develop and maintain the relationship with key stakeholders within HA & LA, DNOs any local utility owners, asset owners and liaise with the client on Wayleave access, for the purpose to obtain relevant permits/ permissions/ authorizations required for the deployment of the network.
Qualifications and Experience
- Fluent in English language
- 5+ years’ experience and proven contacts in Local Authorities
- Demonstrated experience in Wayleave and Planning processes
- Knowledge of local regulations for civil works in UK
- Solid knowledge of the New Roads and Streetworks (NRSWA) and Traffic Management Act (TMA)
- Leadership, Customer Focused, Communication skills, Negotiation skills, Planning Skills
- Previous experience on FTTx or other Utility projects in UK
- Basic understanding of FTTx architecture and designs
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of Openreach PIA processes, procedures and accreditation requirements
- 5 years in the permitting areas for telco/utility projects
