Are you an experienced technical leader in the food manufacturing industry looking for a dynamic role that drives quality and innovation? I am recruiting for a Senior Technical Manager to oversee and elevate technical operations across a busy, yet amazing production site.


Role Overview: In this pivotal role, you will manage a talented technical team made up of 2 people, ensuring the implementation of top-tier food safety, quality, and compliance standards. Working closely with cross-functional departments, you’ll set the strategic direction for technical initiatives, guiding the site to consistently meet and exceed regulatory and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Technical team, developing clear succession plans and fostering a culture of quality assurance.
  • Oversee and implement technical systems, ensuring BRC-grade audit readiness and alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement across production quality and food safety standards.
  • Develop and manage the technical budget, aligning with overall business goals.
  • Engage in customer-focused initiatives, contributing to high customer satisfaction by reducing site complaints.
  • Execute a robust compliance and auditing program, including root cause analysis and preventative actions.

Who You Are:

  • A degree holder in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior technical role within the food manufacturing sector.
  • Knowledgeable in BRCGS, HACCP, and GMP with experience in regulatory compliance.
