They manage the full 360 degrees of event creation from concept to completion, allowing them to be dynamic in a fast paced market environment. Event concepts & research, branding, marketing, tour management, production, logistics, talent booking, event management and prop & decor building are all part of their repertoire.
About the role:
They are seeking an experienced artist or venue programmer to join the promotion and brand management team to look after in excess of 100 live music shows per year. The successful candidate will work on one of the company’s flagship touring brands and be responsible for the commercial success of an internationally established artist. You should be experienced and comfortable in live music promotion, routing tours internationally, negotiating tour/venue deals as well as managing budgets and forecasting tour accounts for shows up to 5,000 capacity. You will be the main point of contact with venues from booking dates through to event completion.
Required Skills:
● Sourcing & booking venues globally
● Demonstrable experience of promoting large scale live music events
● Strong communication and negotiation skills
● High level of numeracy and good spreadsheet skills
● Processing contracts
● An understanding of event marketing within the live music sector
● Forecasting tour finances & budget setting
● Calculating profit and loss accounts for shows
● Experience as a promoter rep / managing shows
● Relationship management with artist stakeholders
● Artist management & development
● An understanding of live event production
● Updating databases and schedules with show information
● A keen interest in live music
Relevant Experience:
● A confident industry professional with at least 10 years of experience within programming / promotion / management
● Collating venue availabilities and plotting tour routes
● Must be highly organised, and self-motivated with impeccable attention to detail.
● Experience with diary management
● You have good communication skills (both written and verbal)
● You can work autonomously as well as working with a vibrant team
● An understanding of event production, touring logistics and ticketing/box office
● Working with 3rd party promoters and booking agents
