The Role

The primary role of the Head of internal communications is to provide leadership in the field of corporate communications. The head of internal communication will lead the corporate communications programme, which will include planning and implementing the communications strategy to help drive employee engagement and motivation. You will work with executive & senior management to gain buy-in and support. In addition, you will create a network of respected and influential people (ambassadors) across the business to jointly help promote agreed programmes and campaigns, which promote Causeways culture, informs employees about the company vision, mission and strategic direction of our products and encourages bottom-up discussion helping create better organisational knowledge.


Dimensions

The post requires the ability to plan and implement an internal communication strategy and program. Furthermore, the role requires the ability to plan and deploy the necessary tools and infrastructure (e.g. a new corporate intranet) to support the strategy. The ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels in key departments including Strategy & M&A, Revenue, Marketing, Customer Success, Product & Engineering, IT, HR, and Finance is a key requirement.


Principal Accountabilities

Your effectiveness will be measured by the impact of your content, the level of employee engagement, and the overall improvement in operational coordination. You will make recommendations on how to evolve the communication strategy and structure at Causeway to support our growth ambitions.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a global strategy for internal communications, ensuring alignment with Causeway's objectives.
  • Build a corporate framework for how and when we communicate internally, ensuring this is a best-in-class way of communicating within Causeway.
  • Design and implement various communication channels, collaborating with the Executive team to set goals and define key messages.
  • Draft and define internal content and messaging, ensuring consistency and alignment with Causeway's mission and values.
  • Provide content for regional communication programs and activities, supporting alignment between internal and external communications.
  • Develop internal communication strategies in various formats (e.g., text, video, audio), ensuring high employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.
  • Create and manage internal social media activities for business collaboration, driving initiatives promoting cross-team collaboration and transparency.
  • Establish structured mechanisms for staff feedback, ensuring continuous improvement in internal communication effectiveness.
  • Design and implement a new corporate intranet and other appropriate tools, managing programs for the corporate intranet and developing metrics for usage, user satisfaction, and ROI.


Important Working Relationships

It is essential that the Head of Internal Communications is a strong leader and team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position will work alongside colleagues from many different departments and with staff from offices around the world.


Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience Required

  • Proven track record in a senior internal communications role, preferably in technology or a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience planning and implementing new communication infrastructure.
  • Background in audio, video, and multimedia production.
  • Understanding of social media resources.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic goals and programs.
  • Professional communication coaching for management and colleagues.
  • Budget creation and management.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (desirable).
  • Professional communications qualifications and certifications (desirable).
