Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Fire Systems Consultant to join our team in Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective design, implementation, and compliance of fire protection systems across various projects. This role involves reviewing and approving designs, conducting site audits, checking compliance with relevant standards, and managing fire system projects from inception to completion.


Key Responsibilities:


Design Review and Approval:

  • Review fire protection system designs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Approve or recommend necessary changes to designs to meet compliance and safety standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to design teams, ensuring that fire systems are correctly integrated into building designs.


Compliance Checking:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of fire protection systems to ensure they meet current legislation and standards.
  • Identify any non-compliance issues and provide clear recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in fire safety regulations and standards, ensuring all projects adhere to the latest requirements.


Site Audits:

  • Perform on-site inspections and audits of fire protection systems to assess their functionality, compliance, and safety.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports, highlighting any deficiencies or areas for improvement.
  • Liaise with contractors and project teams to ensure all on-site activities meet compliance standards.


Project Management:

  • Manage fire system projects from the design phase through to installation and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.


Client Liaison:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding fire system design and compliance matters.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their requirements are met and exceeded where possible.
  • Provide expert advice and support to clients on all aspects of fire protection and safety.
