Buying Assistant

Leeds

Salary £25k - £27k

I am currently recruiting for a Buying Assistant to join a well-established and successful FMCG supplier based in Leeds.

You will be responsible for assisting the Buying Team to ensure continued growth within the category. As a Buying Assistant, you will need to be driven and dynamic and thrive working in a fast-paced retail environment. Some of your responsibilities will include.

  • Building, managing and retaining strong Supplier relationships
  • Understanding product lines and relative timeframes
  • Liaising with internal customers, suppliers and other departments
  • Agreeing pricing & analysing figures within Excel
  • Dealing with site and supplier queries
  • Maintaining order data records and files
  • Generating reports

Key requirement for the role;

  • Experience of Buying Assistant within a retail / FMCG environment desirable
  • Highly accurate with a good attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a varied workload with conflicting deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels
  • Good level of education -
  • Excellent understanding of all MS Office products specifically Excel
