Apprentice & Skills Development Coach – Steelworker

Copello are working with an International defence client who are looking to expand their supportive team of seven coaches and play a key role in guiding apprentices from their first day to completion. With the freedom to manage your own time, you'll provide expert coaching and mentorship, ensuring a smooth apprenticeship journey. Full training and ongoing support will be provided. If you're passionate about helping others succeed, we’d love to have you on board

What you’ll be doing:

  • Deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment practices that engage and inspire learners to fulfil their individual potential and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to successfully progress within the business
  • Take professional pride in their role and embrace continuous professional development opportunities in support of delivering innovative and impactful teaching, learning and assessment
  • Assess and monitor learner progress & performance in line with standards and legislative requirements to ensure occupational competence
  • Coach employees and learners to reach their full potential by providing key support, mentoring, challenge and motivation throughout all aspects of their learning journey
  • Develop learners that are innovative thinkers and creative problem solvers, through designing and delivering learning content as part of a blended learning pedagogy focused on delivering vocational excellence


Your skills and experiences:

  • Effective coaching and mentoring skills
  • Strong and effective interpersonal skills specifically when dealing with welfare, support and safeguarding issues
  • Steelworker Qualified with proven experience as a time served Steelworker
  • IT Literate

Qualifications:

  • Steelworker qualifications

Desirable:

  • A1/Assessor qualification
  • Submarines Experience
