Cromptons Solicitors, a reputable, friendly, and supportive law firm based in Bolton, is currently seeking a dedicated, friendly, and committed Family Law Solicitor with at least 2 years+ PQE with proven experience of handling both publicly funded Legal Aid Work and Privately funded work to join our team. You will play a crucial role in providing expert advice to a diverse range of individuals and families across various family law matters, including Private Law Children Matters, Divorce, Financial Settlements, Separation, Domestic Violence, Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements, and Cohabitee disputes.
Our Ideal Candidate Responsibilities
• Arranging appointments and attending new, current and former clients and dealing with their queries including:
• Obtaining instructions and advising on course(s) of action, length and cost of case (as appropriate);
• Assessment of client’s financial means and explanation of Public Funding or Private Terms;
• Instructing counsel, experts, or other third-parties, reviewing reports and continued liaison as required;
• Undertaking advocacy where relevant;
• Obtaining and reviewing evidence and statements;
• Negotiation on clients behalf and, liaison with opponents, judges, etc. to obtain most preferable outcome for clients;
• Ensuring efficient day-to-day progress of all matters, prioritising work as necessary;
• To ensure that all work carried out meets or exceeds the requirements of the LAA’s Standard Civil Contract, the SRA Code of Conduct and meets Lexcel practice standards;
• To make costs applications and deal with LAA notifications on the LAA CCMS portal;
• To record outcomes of legally funded work on the LAA CWA portal;
• To engage in Business Development Initiatives, marketing activities and networking;
• The Applicant must have Supervisory experience of at least one year and must hold accreditation issued by The Law Society in Family Law or Family Law Advanced or Children Law Accreditation or Resolution Specialist (part 1) or Resolution Specialist Accreditation
