Join a leading utilities company that manages a diverse property portfolio encompassing operational waste and water sites, renewable energy projects, and various environmental initiatives.


Your new role

As In-House Property Counsel, you will:


  • Provide advice on property-related matters
  • Negotiate and deliver legal agreements for acquisitions, disposals, leases, easements, sewer requisitions, diversions, and adoptions.
  • Manage a caseload of transactional and advisory matters.
  • Secure income for the company through legal fees.
  • Build relationships with property owners, developers, external solicitors, and HMLR.
  • Coach and mentor team members.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in property law.
  • Knowledge of the water industry is essential.
  • Previous utility company experience is a plus.
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Proactive and positive outlook, with the ability to produce monthly management reports.
