Senior Quantity Surveyor, Permanent Position

Key Responsibilities


  • Cost Control & Budget Management: Lead end-to-end budget oversight to maintain financial accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contract Negotiation: Secure beneficial terms with subcontractors and suppliers, enhancing profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Financial Reporting: Deliver comprehensive cost analyses and reports to provide project transparency and foster informed decision-making.
  • Project Monitoring: Ensure projects stay within budget by monitoring progress and resolving financial discrepancies.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Engage with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders for seamless project delivery.
  • Risk Management: Identify and proactively mitigate financial risks to protect project outcomes.
  • Tender preparation: contribute to tender documentation management, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Client Interaction: Represent the company in client meetings, advising on cost implications for various construction methods.


Requirements & Details


  • Experience: Demonstrable success as a senior quantity surveyor, ideally within residential or general construction.
  • Education: HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Skills: Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Driving License: Full UK driving license with flexibility for site travel.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within project teams to deliver seamless concept-to-completion results.
