Primary Role

As a CNC Setter/ operator you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision parts and components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and production schedules. This role requires the ability to work with various types of CNC milling machines , Using measuring instruments to verify part dimensions, and ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently. machine tool brands include Mazak, Bridgeport and Brother 5axis and 3 axis. Using Mazatrol, Heidenhain, fanuc controls.

Your main responsibilities are

  • Set and operate CNC milling machine tools
  • Set up tooling and fixturing as per set up sheets
  • Monitor tool life
  • Verify standards of manufacture through measuring equipment.
  • Obtain First Off inspection approval for every operation
  • Accurately log operation times in real time of Shop Floor Data Capture system
  • always Work safely and follow all H&S policies and procedures

The role is day shift only 7.30 to 4.30 Monday to Thursday 7.30 to 12.30 Fridays.

The role would suit someone with a strong background in sub contract CNC manufacturing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per year
