Our client is a top 50 leading law firm with their head office based in Manchester city centre. Their renowned Clinical Negligence department is seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join their Manchester team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious law graduate to advance their legal career, working alongside their specialist lawyers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support fee earners with their caseloads.
- Conduct research to assess the viability of potential clinical negligence cases.
- Sort and paginate medical records, prepare chronologies, and review cases to identify issues related to breach of duty, causation, and quantum.
- Assist in obtaining disclosure of medical records and other case-related documents.
- Prepare instructions for medical experts and counsel, and draft witness statements.
- Carry out administrative tasks, including database maintenance and accurate time recording.
What We Are Looking For:
- Basic knowledge of legal principles in clinical negligence, gained through relevant paralegal experience or legal studies.
- Strong academic background.
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Salary: Dependent on experience
