An innovative IoT software company is seeking a talented and experienced Back End Developer to join their team in Belfast. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a company that is making a significant entry into the Belfast market.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Server-Side Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust server-side applications using Java, Go, or RESTful services.
  • API Development: Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support front-end and mobile applications.
  • Database Management: Design and manage databases to ensure high performance and reliability.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Testing and Debugging: Perform thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure they are robust and error-free.
  • Stay Updated: Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in back-end development.


Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of experience in back-end development, preferably in a high-growth tech environment.
  • Proficiency: Strong proficiency in either Java or Go.
  • API Development: Extensive experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Database Skills: Proficient in SQL and experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Version Control: Proficient in using version control systems such as Git.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Security Practices: Understanding of security principles and ensuring data protection.
