Background
Our client is a market leading Top Tier Global Consulting firm. With offices in nearly 200 countries and a workforce of over 300,000 employees they support some of the World’s leading Private, Publicly traded organisations and government / governing bodies in defining and executing business critical strategies, covering a variety of themes, topics and competence areas. They are looking to significantly ramp up and grow their consulting presence in the Global Pharmaceutical, Bio Tech and Life Sciences sector and as such are looking for a number of individuals at their Senior Manager and Manager grade to join this high performing, highly successful consulting team focussed on the Procurement competence area
The Roles
These are classic C-Suite consulting roles – blend of (remote, office and client location), where you will have the opportunity to be a key member in consulting teams who are helping shape some of the world’s most ambitious and complex Supply Chain and Procurement transformation projects and programs across the Pharma, Bio Teach and Life Sciences sector. As a Senior Manager or Manager within the group, you will act as a thought-partner to clients, helping them to shape ideas and solve complex problems through building trust, advocacy and confidence with senior level Supply Chain / Procurement Leaders. Typical areas of project program work will include but not limited to Development of procurement vision and strategy : Strategic Sourcing : Delivering a procurement improvement programme with successful outcomes : Purchase to pay process : eAuctions : Supplier Management and supplier risk management : Low carbon procurement/sustainable procurement : Collaborative procurement : Contract tendering and contract management : Delivery of e-procurement solutions : Procurement policy and procedures development : Transition management from the previous to the new : Business case development. Outside of engagements, Senior Managers and Managers are considered mentors within the firm, acting as people-managers and career coaches across the team and across the Pharma, Bio Tech and Life Sciences sector.
Candidates
Given the nature of these roles, in order to be successful, you will need extensive experience of either working within a Tier 1 or boutique consulting organisation where your focus has been supporting Pharma, Bio Tech or Life Sciences clients in large scale Supply Chain / Procurement projects and programs or alternatively your experience could come from working within the Pharma, Life Sciences industry where you have held a Senior strategic role within the Procurement or Supply Chain function. You will need to able to demonstrate the ability to think strategically about business and industry trends in Procurement and use analytical, problem-solving techniques to break down complex issues. As well as technical knowledge and experience, you must be able to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, commercial acumen and ability to thrive in a team environment. Whilst not essential, we are ideally looking for individuals who are certified in either (CIPS, CSCP, CPP, CPSM) and graduated to degree level or equivalent.
