Site Engineer

Keltbray Infrastructure Services Limited’s energy division are currently recruiting Site Engineers UK Wide. Ensuring the OHL Transmission works on site are delivered on time, right first time, safely and to budget. The Engineers will drive the delivery of essential subcontractor partners to facilitate the delivery of the OHL planned work.
The Engineers will be expected to work with the Site Manager / Project Engineers as required and directed to deliver and manage the OHL element of works, which can include steel work replacement, OHL fittings replacement or full OHL refurbishment.
The Engineers will be expected to understand the delivery principles of OHL works & the basic design requirements to allow physical works to take place safely and efficiently.
The Engineers will support delivery on time to the highest standards of safety, sustainability, environmental and quality are implemented.
To maintain a collaborative working environment which ensures client, internal and other stakeholders’ requirements are effectively managed, and employees feel motivated and engaged to deliver.
Role Accountabilities
- Understand delivery risks to achieve targets and deliver tasks
- Appreciation regarding relevant commercial terms for your work allocation
- Pro-actively manage the customer relationship during delivery, including change and decision making to effectively manage expectations
- Support Promote Health / Prevent Harm (PH2) and drive for continuous improvement across SHEQ
- Ensure compliance with statutory and company procedures, across all functions including H & S, Environmental and Quality
- Participate in Safety Tours on allocated projects and drive safe working practices
- Undertake required site audits in line with tasks & Sensible Monitoring Schedule
- Support timely incident investigations
- Ensure Documentation is in place to enable teams to commence works
- Collaborate relentlessly to ensure the resources are utilised in the most efficient way on the project

Responsibilities
- Ensure solid working relationships as one project team to deliver planned works.
- Plan the delivery of your work package using the necessary resource and skills, within the agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality safely.
- Instil a strong safety culture and take personal responsibility through strong visible leadership
- Drive yourself and others to comply with all business policies, procedures and governance
- Lead on developing a safe high performance team
- Talk positively and listen actively across the business
- Support tender process as required
- Ensure accurate record keeping is maintained and change is controlled and documented
- Day to Day control regarding Setting to work of Subcontractors as the allocated Temporary Works Supervisor
- Day to Day control regarding Setting to work of Direct Labour
About you
- HNC or above in a related subject
- Industry experience within construction
- OHL subcontractor experience
- Experience in the delivery of Overhead Line industry on schemes up to 400kV preferable.
- Team Leadership / Supervision
- Visible on site and driven to deliver right first time safely
- Capable of documenting / managing change / Accurate recording of information
- Strong relationship management
- Ability to work across conflicting interest groups to develop solutions
- Driving Licence
- Willingness to travel
