We're currently partnered with a company dedicated to providing autonomous mobility solutions powered by AI technology, catering to the unique requirements of industrial operations, such as ports and logistics. Their tailored AI solutions, combined with predictive analytics, are revolutionising industrial operations by ensuring safety and efficiency.


Responsibilites

  • Oversee the entire autonomous retrofitting system, including its ownership and development roadmap.
  • Design, develop, or implement control logics or algorithms for devices or systems powered by electricity or compressed air (electromechanical/pneumatic).
  • Conduct studies to assess the practicality and performance advantages of new mechatronic systems (integration of mechanics, electronics, and control systems).
  • Perform detailed studies to understand the requirements for converting and retrofitting vehicles.
  • Identify suitable hardware, sensors, and robotic systems that meet functional safety specifications and vehicle compatibility requirements.
  • Design and develop necessary verification and validation processes for autonomous vehicle retrofitting, installation, and commissioning.
  • Guarantee that system design and integration comply with international safety and reliability standards.
  • Identify areas for improvement to deliver reliable and robust integrated vehicle robotics with effective regression test cases (tests designed to identify defects introduced during code changes).
  • Provide support during system integration and commissioning phases.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Proficiency in CAN, Ethernet, and other communication technologies.
  • Experience with controller programming languages like structural or ladder logic.
  • Knowledge of safety analysis tools (e.g., FMEADA) and international safety standards.
  • Ability to understand electrical systems and schematics.
  • Strong English language skills (spoken and written).
  • A continuous desire to learn and improve.


Desirable

  • Experience with automotive systems.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like C and C++.
  • Experience working with industrial PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).


This role offers a salary up to £50,000 and will ideally require candidates to attend the office in Uxbridge five days a week.
